• 1 lb whole wheat penne pasta
• 1 lb frozen broccoli florets
• 3 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 shallot minced
• 1 clove garlic minced
• 4 links Italian chicken sausage sliced
• 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil just the tomatoes; chopped
• 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
• salt and pepper to taste
• Optional Garnishes: parmesan cheese, crushed red pepper flakes, extra-virgin olive oil, and fresh basil
