Ingredients

• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• ½ tsp ground nutmeg
• 2 tbsp sugar
• 4 tbsp butter
• 4 eggs
• ½ cup milk
• ½ tsp vanilla extract
• 8 slices (Challah preferred)
• 1 tbsp confectioner’s sugar
• 2 honey crisp apples, peeled and medium diced
• ½ cup orange juice
• ½ cup lemon juice
• ½ cup brown sugar
• ½ cup water
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2/3 cup heavy cream
• 3 tbsp butter, cubed small
• 1 tsp salt
