Ripe bananas give the rich taste to this yeasted banana bread recipe. Exceptionally good toasted with butter or jam for breakfast.
Ingredients
- 2 cups bread flour
- 1 (0.25oz) package (7g) or 2 1/4 teaspoons Red Star Active Dry Yeast
- 1 teaspoon table salt
- 1 tablespoon warm water (120-130°F)
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 2/3 cup whole wheat flour
- 2/3 cup (about 2 medium) bananas (mashed)
