Apple Slab Pie Gelson's

Ingredients

• 10 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced ¼-inch thick

• ¾ cup maple syrup
• 1 cup dried cranberries
• 6 Tbsp arrowroot starch
• 3 Tbsp dark rum
• 1 ½ tsp lemon zest, finely grated
• 2 Tbsp lemon juice
• 1 Tbsp fresh ginger, grated
• 1 ¼ tsp kosher salt
• 2 ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
• ¾ tsp whole nutmeg, grated
• 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, diced small
• 1 large Gelson's Pasture Raised Egg, lightly beaten
• 1 Tbsp heavy cream
• 1 ½ Tbsp granulated sugar
