• 10 chicken pieces , bone-in skin on drumsticks, and thighs work best
• 1 medium onion , sliced
• 6 garlic cloves , minced
• 1 cup dry white wine
• 2 cups chicken broth
• 2 tablespoons maple syrup
• 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
• 1 ⁄ 2 cup heavy cream
• 1 tablespoon salt
• 2 teaspoons pepper
• 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
• 1 tablespoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon dried basil
