- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 375 ml vinegar (white or apple cider vinegar, 1 1/2 cups)
- 80 grams caster sugar (or honey: see note)
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
- fresh bay leaf's (cleaned)
