Feta Spinach Salad with Pecans - Priesters Pecans

Ingredients

• 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 tablespoon dried basil, crumbled
• 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
• 1/2 cup olive oil
• 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
• 4 ounces of crumbled feta cheese
• 1/2 medium red onion, sliced thin in rings
• 1 small avocado, peeled and thinly sliced
• 1 bunch of tender, fresh spinach
• 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
• 1 large clove of garlic, minced and crushed
