Bacon Patty Treasure Burgers - Sutter Home Family Vineyards

Ingredients

• 24 slices thick cut bacon
• 2 1/2 pounds ground chuck
• 1 1/2 tablespoons sundried tomatoes, finely chopped
• 1 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
• 1 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for brushing grill
• 6 slices red onion cut 1/4 inch thick
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 cup good quality mayonnaise
• 1/2 cup arugula
• 1 tablespoon oil from sundried tomatoes
• 6 big good quality seedless hamburger buns
• 2 tablespoons butter, melted
• 6 slices of a big tomato or 12 smaller
• 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
• 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
• 6 leaves loose leaf lettuce
• 18 slices avocado
