Ingredients: 1 cup softened butter; 1 egg; 1 tablespoon vanilla essence (you can add your own choice of essence. I tend to use almond or lemon instead of vanilla sometimes); ½ teaspoon baking powder; 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda/baking soda; 2 ¾ cups flour; 1 ½ cups sugar; pinch of coarse salt (to balance); 1 cup choc chips or Chopped chocolate of your choice. (personally prefer chopped than chips)
