Ingredients

• ½ cup of Wish Farms strawberries to garnish
• 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
• 1 cup softened butter
• 1 ½ cups white sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3 to 4 tablespoons buttermilk
• 2 tablespoons sugar crystals to decorate
• ½ cup + 2 tablespoons strawberry puree
• ½ cup unsalted butter, nearly at room temperature
• ¼ cup salted butter, nearly at room temperature
• 2 ½ - 2 ¾ cups powdered sugar
• ¼ teaspoons vanilla extract
• 4 drops red food coloring (optional)
