Carrie's Quick Oat Cake

Ingredients

• 1 1/4 cups boiling water
• 1 cup quick cooking oats
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup shortening or oil
• 2 eggs or equivalent replacement
• 1 1/3 cup wheat or oat flour
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
