Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons flax meal
- 4 tablespoons water
- 1 ¾ cups light spelt flour or plain whole wheat flour
- ¾ cup organic cane sugar
- 5 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ cup sweet potato puree (see direction 1)
- Chocolate Sweet Potato Frosting:
- 430 g of sweet potato puree
- 1 2/3 cups semisweet chocolate pieces
