• 4 cups (about 450g) broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces (fresh or frozen)
• 1 cup (about 115g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
• 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
• 1 tablespoon (15ml) baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup (115g) cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
• 3/4 cup (90g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
• 1 cup (235ml) buttermilk
