Ingredients

• 1 apple, peeled and diced into 1/4” cubes (60g-120g)
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar (see notes)
• 5 tablespoons (71g) butter, softened and divided
• 1 1/2 cups (195g) all-purpose flour
• 1 cup (200g) sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
• 3 large (150g) Pete & Gerry's eggs
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2/3 cup (76g) confectioners' sugar
• 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
