• 1 14ounce can of sweetened condensed milk or the same amount of already prepared dulce de leche
• 2 c half and half
• 1 1 / 2t Kosher salt
• 1/4 c dark brown sugar
• 1 c rendered pork lard
• 1/2 c white sugar
• 1/2 c dark brown sugar
• pinch of salt
• 1/2 t vanilla extract
• 1 T fresh thyme leaves
• 1 egg
• 2 c cake flour
