Ingredients

• 6 c. chicken stock
• 1/2 c. white wine
• 2 bunches asparagus, ends trimmed, chopped (about 4 cups)
• 1 c. chopped onion
• 1 Tbls. chopped fresh garlic
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 tsp. dried, oregano (whole)
• 1/2 tsp. sage
• 1/2 tsp. white pepper
• 3/4 c. butter, melted
• 3/4 c. flour
• 2 c. heavy cream (whipping cream NOT whipped)
• 1 c. shredded Asiago cheese
