Ingredients

• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/3 cup dried cherries, roughly chopped

• 1 pound ground pork
• 1 cup Guinness
• Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
• 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 cup finely chopped red onion, about 1 small
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 pound sweet potato, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch pieces
• 2 sticks cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
• 1/4 cup ice cold water
