Margarita Trifle - Trifle Recipes - Summer Desserts
This margarita trifle is a party in a bowl and everyone is invited. Sweet, sharp and salty, this lush trifle is easy AF.
Ingredients
- 3 x 123g mandarins in orange jelly cups (we used Dole)
- 3 tbsp. Cointreau
- 2 limes
- A drop of green food colouring (optional)
- 500 g tub fresh custard
- 25 g salt
- 200 g madeira cake, thickly sliced
- 500 mL double cream
- 40 g icing sugar
- 3 1/2 tbsp. Tequila
- 2 tbsp. agave or golden syrup
- Flaked sea salt, to decorate
