Ingredients

• 4 lb beef chuck roast, cut into 1 inch cubes
• 1/2 cup all purpose flour
• 12 oz bacon, diced
• 4 cups yellow onions, chopped
• 6 garlic cloves, minced
• 32 oz Guinness Extra Stout
• 6 cups potatoes, cut into 1 inch pieces
• 3 cups carrots, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
• 2 cups celery, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
• 2 cups parsnips, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
• 2 cups beef broth
• 4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 6 oz tomato paste
• 2 tsp dried thyme
• 2 tsp dried rosemary
• 4 bay leaves
• salt and pepper to taste
