- 800 g pork chipolata sausages (or beef)

- 440 ml Guinness stout (or other brand)
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 (400 g) cans borlotti beans, rinsed & drained
- parsley, chopped to serve
