• 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed and chopped into bite size pieces
• 1/2 head cabbage, shredded
• 1 onion, sliced thin
• red pepper flakes, to taste
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon pepper
• 1 teaspoon sage
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
• 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
• 6 cups water
• 2 -3 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules
• 1/2 cup instant rice
