Nisa - St Patricks Day Guinness Pudding with Gooey Homemade Sauce

Ingredients

• 150g dates, de-stoned
• 100ml water
• 100ml Guinness (or any other Irish stout, of course)
• 2 Heritage eggs, beaten
• 1 tbsp bicarbonate of soda
• 75g Heritage butter
• 180g sugar
• 180g self raising flour
• 90g cream
• 90g butter
• 90g brown sugar
• A little blackcurrant liqueur (optional)
• A little Guinness (or other Irish stout)
