Irish Apple Cake Recipe | OZ Braai

Ingredients

• 2 cups self-raising flour, sifted, for a light cake
• 1 tsp mixed spice, for that warm touch
• 1/2 cup butter, softened because everything's better with butter
• 1/2 cup caster sugar, for that sweet touch
• 2 large eggs, lightly beaten, to bind it all together
• 4 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped
• 2-4 tablespoons milk, to loosen it up to the right consistency
• Demerara sugar, for sprinkling, for a bit of crunch
