Italian Coney Dog - The Grill Dads
We used Certified Piedmontese ground beef and Rao's sauce to turn this Coney Dog into an Italian work of art that even Michelangelo would be proud of! How many of these can you take down?
Ingredients
- 1 large onion (sliced into half moons)
- Olive oil
- Kosher salt (for seasoning)
- Black pepper (for seasoning)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup jarred marinara sauce (such as Rao's)
- 8 all beef hot dogs
- 8 hot dog buns
- 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella
- Green onions (optional for garnishing)
