Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon Gefen Olive Oil
• 2 medium onions, chopped
• 1 cup kasha
• 1 large egg, separated, plus 1 whole egg
• 2 cups hot water mixed with 2 teaspoons vegetable soup mix
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
• 2 pounds (1 kilogram) sweet potatoes, cooked, drained, and mashed
• 2 large eggs
• 2 tablespoons Gefen Olive Oil
• 1/4 cup Gefen Cornflake Crumbs
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper, or to taste
• generous pinch nutmeg
• 1/2 cup Gefen Cornflake Crumbs
• 1 tablespoon cane sugar
• 1 teaspoon Gefen Olive Oil
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• generous handful shelled pistachio nuts, chopped
