Four Onion Soup

Ingredients

• french bread, baguette-style
• 1 ts Dried thyme crushed
• 1/4 ts Pepper
• 1/4 c Marsala wine or sweet
• 1/4 c Butter or margarine
• 3 c leeks Thinly sliced
• 1 tb Sugar
• 12 cloves garlic Minced
• 2 tb All purpose flour
• 6 c Chicken broth
• 1 c Half and half cream or light cream
• 6 md Onions halved and thinly
• Fresh chives optional
• 2 egg yolks Slightly beaten
• Fresh thyme optional
