Ingredients
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 and quarter cup chopped dates
- 1 teaspoon bicarb
- 125g butter
- 1 cup castor sugar
- Cream well together
- Add
- 2 eggs
- 1 and half cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Half cup chopped pecan nuts
- Add date mixture and mix well
- Add to greased pan.bake at 180 for approx 45 minutes
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup fresh cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
