Advieh refers to Persian spice mixtures used for rice, stews and other dishes. Blends may include cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, rose petals or other aromatics, with proportions suited to their intended use. There is no single universal formula.
A blend for rice can differ from one intended for a stew. Check the recipe or label instead of treating advieh as a direct equivalent of garam masala or another mixed seasoning.
