Baby Shrimp

Ingredients

Baby shrimp, also called salad shrimp or tiny shrimp, are small shrimp, usually under an inch long, typically sold cooked and peeled ready to use. Their mild, sweet, faintly briny flavor makes them a common addition to salads, pasta, seafood cocktails, and spring rolls, and they appear in dishes like Thai tom yum soup, Creole gumbo, and Vietnamese rolls. Because they're already small and delicate, they need little to no additional cooking, just a quick warm-through to avoid turning rubbery. They pair well with fresh herbs like cilantro and basil, citrus, garlic, and a touch of chili heat.
