Merry Cherry Squares Recipe - Food.com
These are an old childhood favorite of mine. I had these each holiday, I think my aunt made them. They look festive too.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped candied red cherries
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup coarsely chopped green candy covered plain chocolate candies
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 5 -6 teaspoons warm water
