Ingredients

• 6 slices bacon cut into 1.3 cm (1/2") pieces
• 1 cup onions, thinly sliced
• 1 1/2 cups Swiss/Gruyere cheese, diced or grated
• 23 cm (9") partially baked pie shell
• 4 eggs, beaten
• 2 cups cream
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon
• ground nutmeg
• white pepper (go with black if that is all you have)
