Nothing beats a homemade mac and cheese. This baked version melds our classic 12 month aged cheddar and our spicy Rock'n Jack into a creamy dish with just enough crunchy brown bits on top.
Ingredients
- 4 cups 2% milk
- 1 garlic clove, smashed
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 6 peppercorns
- 3 TB butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 ts mustard powder
- 1/4 ts nutmeg
- 1/8 ts cayenne pepper
- Salt
- 3 cups grated Face Rock Aged Cheddar
- 1 cup grated Face Rock Rock’n’Jack
- 1 pound penne, farfalle, or other short pasta
