Shortbread has a rich, buttery flavor that is not too sugary. Dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with pecans they are the perfect treat!

- 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup rice flour
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 4 ounces semisweet chocolate
- 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
