Apple-Pecan Strudel

Ingredients

• 1/2 c Dark brown sugar

• 1/2 c Hot water
• 1 Egg
• 2 ts Ground cinnamon
• DOUGH (ENOUGH FOR 2
• 1 c Graham cracker or vanilla
• 3 tb Unsalted butter
• 1 tb Sugar
• 1/2 c Unsalted butter; melted
• 1 c Chopped pecans; toasted
• 2 tb Crystallized ginger; minced
• 1 c Raisins
• 1/2 c Sugar
• 2 1/2 c All-purpose flour
• 8 c Tart apples peeled;
• 1/4 c Unsalted butter
• 1 tb Cider vinegar; preferably
• 1/4 ts Salt
