Ingredients

• Cake:
• ½ cup (1 stick) butter, softened
• ¾ cup sugar
• ½ cup milk
• 1 egg
• 2 cups all-purpose flour (a great place to sneak in a little whole wheat flour, I used 1/2 cup)
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 2 cups blueberries (use more if large blueberries), fresh or frozen
• Topping:
• 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
• ½ cup all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 6 Tablespoons butter, cubed
• ½ cup chopped walnuts
• optional: 1/4 cup crumbled almond paste
