Ingredients

• 2 Cosmic Crisp ® apples, chopped
• 2 cups milk
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for greasing the pan
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• ⅓ cup brown sugar
• Pinch of salt
• ½ loaf sourdough, cut into 5 cm cubes (about 5 to 6 cups)
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 350g store-bought caramel sauce
• ¼ cup thickened cream
• Chocolate shavings, for serving
• Ice cream, for serving
