Ingredients

• 3 cups all purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 tablespoon ground turmeric
• 1/4 cup cold shortening
• 1/4 cup cold margerine
• 3/4 cup ice cold water
• Now for the meat-
• 2 tablespoons oil
• 1 small white onion, diced
• 1/4 teaspoon Scotch Bonnet pepper, diced
• 1/2 pound lean ground beef
• 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon curry powder (I used mild but you can use hot to turn up the temperature)
• 1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried or fresh
• 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
• 1/4 cup beef or chicken stock
• 1/2 teaspoon mild or hot jerk seasoning
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1/4 cup water
