Quebec Maple Pork Pie - Maple from Canada

Ingredients

• 2 x 500g pack pork mince
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 2 sticks celery, chopped
• 1 tsp ground black pepper
• 2 bay leaves
• 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
• 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 2 tbsp maple syrup (preferably dark syrup for its robust taste)
• Pinch of salt
• Rolled Oats
• P1 packet re-rolled shortcrust pastry
• 1 Egg Beaten
