Ingredients

• 3 large garlic cloves, peeled
• 1⁄2 teaspoon plus 1 pinch of kosher salt
• Zest and juice of 2 large limes
• 1⁄4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
• 2 scallions, trimmed, white and green parts roughly chopped
• 2 habanero chiles or fresh hot chiles of your choice, seeded and thinly sliced into rings
• 1⁄2 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1 pound raw jumbo red argentinian shrimp
