• 1 disc homemade pie crust or store-bought pie crust
• 1 cup + 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, plus extra for rolling out pie dough
• 3/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
• 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 3 large eggs, slightly beaten
• 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
