Harissa Chicken Stew - Chicken Farmers

Ingredients

• 8 chicken drumsticks
• 1/4 tsp (1.25 mL) salt
• 1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetable oil
• 1 small red onion, chopped
• 2 medium carrots, peeled, halved and sliced
• 125 g cured chorizo sausage, thinly sliced
• 1/2 cup (125 mL) pearl barley
• 2 tbsp (30 mL) harissa paste
• 1 1/2 cups (250 mL) tomato passata
• 2 cups (500 mL) sodium-reduced chicken broth
• 2 cups (500 mL) kale, removed from stem and chopped
