Ingredients

  • Idli rice: ½ cup (100g). or parboiled rice
  • Regular rice: ½ cup (100g)
  • Urad dal: ¼ cup (50g)
  • Fenugreek seeds: ⅛ teaspoon or 2 pinches of methi seeds or methi dana
  • Thick poha (flattened rice): 2 tbsp
  • Water: 1.5 cups – for soaking both rice and lentils
  • Water: ¾ cup – for grinding. do add water as required
  • Sea salt crystals: ½ teaspoon. or non-iodised salt or Himalayan pink salt
