Ingredients
- 4 cups of sifted flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of warm milk
- 3 packages (1 oz each) dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/4 cup of butter or margarine
- 1 cup of rum
- 2 cups of candied fruits
- 1 cup of dark raisins
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1 cup of chopped nuts (1/2 cup to mix and 1/2 cup for garnish)
- 2 cups of carrots, peeled and grated
- 2 tablespoons of orange zest (about 2 oranges)
- 1 cup of dulce de leche, for garnish
