Carrot pecan cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups self-raising flour
• 1 teaspoon mixed spice
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 2 cups grated carrot
• 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 1 cup vegetable oil
• 3 lightly beaten eggs
• pecan halves, to decorate
• Icing
• 125 grams chopped cream cheese
• 60 grams butter, chopped, at room temperature
• 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
• 1 cup icing sugar, sifted
