Spinach, Corn And Cheese Pies recipe by Faadila Naveed Ahmad

Ingredients

• ½ onion, chopped
• 1 cup cooked spinach (chopped)
• ¾ cup frozen corn
• ½ teaspoon garlic powder
• Salt & Aromat (a South African Spice) to taste
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1–2 tablespoon ground green chillies
• 2 tablespoon butter
• 1 tablespoon cornflour
• ¾ cup milk
• 2 tablespoon cottage cheese (I used jalapeño flavour)
• 2 cups grated cheese (I used white cheddar)
• 1. In a pan, sauté chopped onion until translucent.
• 2. Add spinach and corn. Stir in garlic powder, salt, Aromat (a South African Spice), black pepper, and green chillies.
• 3. Add butter and cornflour. Mix well.
• 4. Pour in milk and simmer until the mixture thickens.
• 5. Switch off the heat and allow to cool slightly.
• 6. Stir in cottage cheese and grated cheese until combined.
• 7. Fill puff pastry with the mixture, seal edges, and bake according to pastry instructions until golden and
