- 1/2 cup (125mL) buttermilk
- 1/4 cup (50mL) fresh parsley, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp (15mL) olive oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 lbs (910 g) ground Ontario turkey
- 3 large carrots, chopped
- 1 cup (250mL) button mushrooms
- 1 cup (250mL) fresh or frozen peas (if using frozen, do not thaw)
- 2 tbsp (25mL) tomato paste
- 1/4 cup (50mL) BBQ sauce or ketchup
- 1/4 cup (50mL) all purpose flour
- 1 cup (250 mL) turkey or vegetable stock
