Ingredients

• 1¾ cups chopped pitted dates
• 1189; cups chopped pitted prunes
• 11/3 cups chopped raisins
• 1 cup chopped dried pears or peaches
• 1 cup mixed chopped glacé cherries
• 1/3 cup dried cranberries
• ½ cup brandy
• 250g butter, chopped, at room temperature
• 1½ cups brown sugar
• 5 eggs
• 1 tablespoon marmalade
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2½ cups plain flour, sifted
• 1/3 cup chopped macadamia nuts
• Whole macadamia nuts, to decorate
• Icing sugar, for dusting
• Native flowers, to decorate
