Marshmallows - Using Lyle's Golden Syrup

Ingredients

• 3 pkg unflavored gelatin
• 1 cup water, divided
• 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
• 1 cup Lyle’s Golden Syrup® (or other sugar syrup)
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1 tsp vanilla or peppermint extract
• 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar (corn free)
• 1/4 cup potato starch, tapioca starch, or arrowroot starch
• oil
• Food coloring – liquid, paste, or powdered (optional)
