Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 2/3 cups breadcrumbs (dry)
- 1/3 cup minced onion
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon shortening (or oil)
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 can (13 1/2 ounce) pineapple tidbits (drained, reserve syrup)
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
