BBQ Flank Steak Recipe with a Smokey BBQ Marinade
Dad's yummy BBQ Flank Steak recipe with one of his signature sauces, barbecue sauce! A cheaper cut of steak but still full of flavour for your summer BBQ.
Ingredients
- 900g flank skirt or flank steak
- For the marinade/sauce
- 80ml olive oil
- 1 onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 red chilli (to taste) chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp hot smoked paprika
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 3 tbs moscovado sugar
- 3 tbs red wine vinegar
- 300ml tomato passata
- 200ml chicken stock or water
- Salt and pepper
